L'azienda Oracle ha presentato la versione preliminare della distribuzione Oracle Linux 10, basata sulla base pacchetti di Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 e completamente binariamente compatibile con essa. Per il download senza restrizioni \u00e8 disponibile un'immagine ISO di installazione, preparata per le architetture x86_64 e ARM64 (aarch64). Per Oracle Linux 10 \u00e8 disponibile un accesso illimitato e gratuito al repository yum con aggiornamenti binari dei pacchetti contenenti correzioni di errori (errata) e problemi di sicurezza. Sono stati anche preparati repository con set di pacchetti Application Stream e CodeReady Builder, oltre a un repository con i kernel UEK-next. <\/p>\n

Oltre al pacchetto kernel della RHEL (basato sul kernel 6.11), Oracle Linux propone il proprio kernel Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel Next (UEK-Next), basato sul kernel Linux 6.12 e ottimizzato per l'uso con software e hardware Oracle. Il codice sorgente del kernel, incluse le suddivisioni in singoli patch, \u00e8 disponibile nel repository Git pubblico di Oracle.
