L'azienda Blue Systems, che fornisce finanziamenti per lo sviluppo di KWin e Kubuntu, ha pubblicato l'uscita della distribuzione Netrunner 25, che offre l'ambiente desktop KDE 5. Rispetto a Kubuntu, la distribuzione Netrunner si distingue per un diverso approccio all'organizzazione dell'interfaccia utente e per l'integrazione senza soluzione di continuit\u00e0 di Wine e dei programmi GTK nell'ambiente KDE. La dimensione dell'immagine ISO da scaricare \u00e8 di 2.5 GB (x86_64). La nuova versione \u00e8 sincronizzata con il database dei pacchetti di Debian 12. Sono state aggiornate le versioni dei pacchetti, tra cui il kernel Linux 6.1.0, KDE Plasma 5.27.5, Qt 5.15.2, Firefox 128.6.0 ESR, LibreOffice 7.4.7.2 e VLC 3.0.21.
