La distribuzione \u00e8 costruita sulla base di pacchetti Debian ed \u00e8 disponibile in versioni per oltre 50 schede. DietPi pu\u00f2 anche essere utilizzato per creare ambienti compatti per macchine virtuali e PC tradizionali basati su architettura x86_64. Le versioni per le schede sono caratterizzate da dimensioni contenute (in media 130 MB) rispetto a Raspberry Pi OS e Armbian. Gli strumenti per la creazione e la gestione della distribuzione sono distribuiti con licenza GPLv2.    <\/p>\n<p>Il progetto \u00e8 ottimizzato per un consumo minimo di risorse e sviluppa diverse utility proprie: interfaccia per l'installazione delle applicazioni DietPi-Software, configuratore DietPi-Config, sistema di backup DietPi-Backup, meccanismo di registrazione temporanea DietPi-Ramlog (supporta anche rsyslog), interfaccia per l'assegnazione delle priorit\u00e0 di esecuzione dei processi DietPi-Services e sistema di consegna degli aggiornamenti DietPi-Update. Le utility forniscono un'interfaccia utente testuale con menu e dialoghi basati su whiptail. \u00c8 supportata la modalit\u00e0 di installazione completamente automatizzata, che consente di installare sulle schede senza intervenire manualmente.     <\/p>\n<p>Tra le modifiche:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Le immagini di sistema per le schede StarFive VisionFive 2 e PINE64 Star64, basate sull'architettura RISC-V, sono state aggiornate alla base di pacchetti Debian 13 (Testing) anzich\u00e9 Debian Unstable. \u00c8 stata aggiunta la possibilit\u00e0 di installare i programmi Bazarr, Raspotify, NZBGet, MicroK8s e AdGuard Home.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nel pacchetto DietPi-Tools \u00e8 stata aggiunta l'utilit\u00e0 DietPi-Display per gestire le modalit\u00e0 video e la rotazione dello schermo tramite KMS\/DRM (Kernel Mode Setting \/ Direct Rendering Manager).\n<li class=\"l\"> Per le schede NanoPi M6 \u00e8 stata implementata la possibilit\u00e0 di configurare i display collegati tramite la porta DSI (Display Serial Interface) usando l'utilit\u00e0 DietPi-Display.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nelle build per schede Raspberry Pi \u00e8 possibile passare a un nuovo stack di firmware tramite l'interfaccia \u00abdietpi-config &gt; Opzioni avanzate &gt; Migrazione del firmware RPi\u00bb.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nelle impostazioni di installazione automatica (dietpi.txt) \u00e8 stato aggiunto il parametro AUTO_SETUP_APT_INSTALLS per installare pacchetti specifici dopo il primo avvio.
