Sono stati presentati aggiornamenti simili per Kubuntu 24.04.2 LTS, Ubuntu Budgie 24.04.2 LTS, Ubuntu MATE 24.04.2 LTS, Lubuntu 24.04.2 LTS, Ubuntu Kylin 24.04.2 LTS, Ubuntu Studio 24.04.2 LTS, Xubuntu 24.04.2 LTS, Edubuntu 24.04.2 LTS, Ubuntu Cinnamon 24.04.2 LTS e Ubuntu Unity 24.04.2 LTS.    <\/p>\n<p>Il rilascio include alcuni miglioramenti backportati dalla versione Ubuntu 24.10:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Sono disponibili pacchetti con il kernel Linux versione 6.11 (kernel di base Ubuntu 24.04 \u2014 6.8).     <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Sono stati aggiornati i componenti dello stack grafico, inclusi Mesa 24.2 e libdrm 2.4.122, testati nella versione Ubuntu 24.10. Sono state aggiunte le versioni pi\u00f9 recenti dei driver video per i chip Intel, AMD e NVIDIA.     <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Sono state aggiornate le versioni di alcuni pacchetti, come BIND 9.18.30, GCC 14.2, LibreOffice 24.2.7, GNOME 46.3, gnome-control-center 46.5, cloud-init 24.4, ceph 19.2.0, snapd 2.66.1, .NET 8.0.11.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata aggiunta la supporto a SoundWire per la piattaforma AMD.        <\/ul>\n<p>Nelle versioni per desktop (Ubuntu Desktop) il nuovo kernel e il nuovo stack grafico sono proposti di default. Per i sistemi server (Ubuntu Server) il nuovo kernel \u00e8 stato aggiunto come opzione nell'installer. Utilizzare le nuove versioni ha senso solo per nuove installazioni \u2014 i sistemi gi\u00e0 installati possono ricevere tutte le modifiche disponibili in Ubuntu 24.04.2 tramite il sistema di aggiornamento integrato.        <\/p>\n<p>Ricordiamo che per la fornitura di nuove versioni del kernel e dello stack grafico viene utilizzato un modello di supporto rolling per gli aggiornamenti, secondo il quale i kernel e i driver backportati saranno supportati solo fino all'uscita del prossimo aggiornamento correttivo della branch LTS di Ubuntu. Pertanto, il kernel Linux 6.11 proposto nel rilascio attuale sar\u00e0 supportato fino all'uscita di Ubuntu 24.04.3, in cui sar\u00e0 offerto un kernel della distribuzione di Ubuntu 24.04. Il kernel di base fornito inizialmente, 6.8, sar\u00e0 supportato per l'intero ciclo di assistenza di cinque anni.          <\/p>\n<p>Per ripristinare Ubuntu Desktop sul kernel base 6.8, eseguire il
