In MPV, l'attenzione principale \u00e8 rivolta allo sviluppo di nuove funzionalit\u00e0, senza preoccuparsi della compatibilit\u00e0 con MPlayer. Il codice di MPV \u00e8 distribuito sotto licenza LGPLv2.1+, mentre alcune parti restano sotto GPLv2; il processo di transizione verso la LGPL \u00e8 quasi concluso e per disabilitare il codice GPL rimanente si pu\u00f2 utilizzare l'opzione &#171;&#8212;enable-lgpl&#187;.    <\/p>\n<p>Tra le modifiche nella nuova versione:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Su piattaforma Linux, \u00e8 stata implementata la supporto per l'esteso range dinamico (HDR) utilizzando DRM (Direct Rendering Manager) o dmabuf-wayland.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nella console, \u00e8 stato migliorato lo stile visivo e il funzionamento dell'autocompletamento dell'input.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nel'interfaccia grafica integrata OSC (On Screen Controller) \u00e8 stato aggiunto un nuovo menu di selezione degli elementi, mostrato al clic con il tasto destro del mouse.\n<li class=\"l\"> Per gli script \u00e8 stata aggiunta la propriet\u00e0 clipboard, che consente di accedere al clipboard.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stato aggiunto un nuovo menu per l'accesso rapido alle azioni comuni.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nello script select.lua \u00e8 stata aggiunta la supporto per la navigazione nella cronologia di visualizzazione, le edizioni e i materiali registrati su DVD\/Blu-Ray.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stato migliorato lo streaming di Blu-ray, DVD e CDDA.\n<li class=\"l\"> Migliorata la selezione dei
