Gli sviluppatori del repository di pacchetti Python PyPI (Python Package Index) hanno segnalato di aver riscontrato un problema di sicurezza nell'implementazione della funzione \"Organization Team\", che consente di creare un team di pi\u00f9 sviluppatori che lavorano insieme a un progetto su PyPI. La questione riguardava il fatto che i privilegi delegati a un utente come membro dell'\"Organization Team\" venivano mantenuti anche dopo la rimozione dell'utente dall'organizzazione. La vulnerabilit\u00e0 in PyPI \u00e8 stata risolta due ore dopo la segnalazione del problema. L'audit condotto non ha rivelato azioni non autorizzate legate all'uso dei diritti di accesso non revocati. <\/p>\n
Gli sviluppatori del repository crates.io, attraverso il quale vengono distribuiti i pacchetti in linguaggio Rust, hanno anche segnalato un incidente di sicurezza. Nell'infrastruttura di crates.io, quando si verificano errori sul lato backend, le informazioni sulle richieste elaborate al momento del problema vengono inviate al servizio di monitoraggio Sentry. Il problema \u00e8 legato al fatto che tra i dati inviati era presente un campo con il contenuto del Cookie \"cargo_session\", che conteneva la chiave di sessione che identifica l'utente. Un estraneo che avesse ottenuto questa chiave avrebbe potuto intraprendere qualsiasi azione in una sessione utente non completata. <\/p>\n
Si osserva che l'accesso a server<\/a> Sentry era riservato solo ad alcuni membri dei team che gestiscono l'infrastruttura del progetto e il repository crates.io, i quali gi\u00e0 disponevano di accesso privilegiato ai server di lavoro di crates.io. Non ci sono prove che i token di sessione rimasti nei log siano stati utilizzati da qualcuno. Dopo la risoluzione del problema, tali Cookie sono stati rimossi da tutte le registrazioni di eventi in Sentry e le sessioni attive degli utenti correlate sono state terminate.
