Dopo due anni e mezzo di sviluppo, \u00e8 stato rilasciato il sistema operativo Linux CRUX 3.7, un progetto indipendente che viene sviluppato dal 2001 secondo il concetto KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) e si rivolge agli utenti esperti. L'obiettivo del progetto \u00e8 creare una distribuzione semplice e trasparente per gli utenti, basata su script di inizializzazione simili a BSD, con una struttura il pi\u00f9 semplificata possibile e un numero relativamente contenuto di pacchetti binari precompilati. CRUX supporta un sistema di porte che consente di installare e aggiornare applicazioni in stile FreeBSD\/Gentoo. La dimensione dell'immagine ISO preparata per l'architettura x86-64 \u00e8 di 1,7 GB. <\/p>\n

Nel nuovo rilascio sono state aggiornate le versioni dei componenti di sistema, inclusi il kernel Linux 6.12, glibc 2.40, gcc 14.2.0, binutils 2.43.1, sysvinit 3.14. Sono inclusi nuovi pacchetti come nvme-cli, rdfind, libbsd, libcap-ng, libxcrypt.
