Newsraft \u00e8 progettato per ottenere contenuti da vari blog e piattaforme e per visualizzarli attraverso un'interfaccia unica, costruita sulla libreria ncurses. Il progetto \u00e8 ispirato alle idee del programma Newsboat, ma rappresenta uno sviluppo autonomo e si presenta come un'alternativa leggera.     <\/p>\n<p>L'obiettivo del progetto \u00e8 fornire la funzionalit\u00e0 pi\u00f9 richiesta di un feed reader con il minor numero possibile di righe di codice sorgente (a titolo di confronto, Newsboat contiene circa 44.000 righe di codice, mentre Newsraft ne ha circa 9.000). Il codice del progetto \u00e8 scritto in C (C99) ed \u00e8 distribuito sotto licenza ISC.
