Le immagini di installazione sono state preparate per le architetture x86_64_v3, x86_64_v2, ARM64, ppc64le e s390x sotto forma di immagine avviabile (864 MB), minima (1,4 GB) e completa (7,3 GB). Successivamente verranno create versioni Live con GNOME, KDE, MATE e Xfce, cos\u00ec come immagini per piattaforme Raspberry Pi, container, WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) e piattaforme cloud.    <\/p>\n<p>Il distribuzione \u00e8 binariamente compatibile con Red Hat Enterprise Linux e pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato come sostituto di RHEL 10 e CentOS 10 Stream. Oltre al rebranding e alla rimozione dei pacchetti specifici di RHEL, in AlmaLinux 10.0 sono evidenziate le seguenti differenze rispetto a RHEL 10:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Sono state create versioni separate per la seconda versione dell'architettura micro x86-64 (x86-64-v2), che sono accompagnate parallelamente alle versioni base x86-64, ottimizzate per l'architettura micro x86-64-v3, utilizzata in RHEL 10. Il supporto aggiuntivo per x86-64-v2 garantisce la compatibilit\u00e0 con CPU pi\u00f9 vecchie di Intel Haswell e AMD Excavator, progettate prima del 2013. Oltre ai repository standard, le versioni x86-64-v2 sono state preparate anche per i pacchetti del repository EPEL.    <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stato ripristinato l'uso del registro del processore %rbp come puntatore di base per il frame dello stack, contenente gli indirizzi di ritorno e le variabili della funzione (frame pointer). L'uso del puntatore del frame dello stack permette di sfruttare ulteriori funzionalit\u00e0 per il tracing e il profiling del sistema.      <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Sono state restituite le implementazioni server e client del protocollo SPICE, che consente di organizzare il lavoro remoto con un desktop funzionante in un ambiente virtuale sotto QEMU\/KVM. A differenza dei protocolli VNC e RDP, in SPICE il rendering del contenuto dello schermo e l'elaborazione dei flussi audio avvengono sul lato client, non sul <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/server\/dts-newyork\/\"   title=\"server\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2810\">server<\/a>. In RHEL, il supporto per SPICE \u00e8 stato interrotto con il rilascio 9.0.      <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Implementata la possibilit\u00e0 di utilizzare hypervisor <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/vps\/abuzoustojchivye-vps\/\"   title=\"KVM\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"4443\">KVM<\/a> su sistemi con processori IBM POWER. In RHEL tale supporto \u00e8 stato interrotto nella versione 9.0.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata implementata la possibilit\u00e0 di avvio in modalit\u00e0 UEFI Secure Boot per sistemi con processori Intel\/AMD e ARM.   <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata ripristinata la supporto per oltre 150 dispositivi hardware non supportati in RHEL 10. Ad esempio, sono stati reinseriti gli identificatori delle vecchie periferiche PCI nei driver:\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> aacraid \u2014 Dell PERC2, 2\/SI, 3\/SI, 3\/DI, Adaptec Advanced Raid Products, HP NetRAID-4M, IBM ServeRAID &amp; ICP SCSI  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> be2iscsi \u2014 Emulex OneConnectOpen-iSCSI per BladeEngine 2 e 3  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> be2net \u2014 adattatori Emulex BladeEngine 2 e 3 *  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> hpsa \u2014 Controller HP Smart Array  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> lpfc \u2014 Emulex LightPulse Fibre Channel SCSI  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> megaraid_sas \u2014 Broadcom MegaRAID SAS  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> mlx4_core \u2014 Mellanox Gen2 e ConnectX-2  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> mpt3sas \u2014 LSI MPT Fusion SAS 3.0  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> mptsas \u2014 Fusion MPT SAS Host  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> qla2xxx \u2014 QLogic Fibre Channel HBA  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\">  qla4xxx \u2014 QLogic iSCSI HBA.    <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>    <center><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\u00c8 disponibile la distribuzione di AlmaLinux 10.0\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/e9c62cae8f205a6ad701bba0861f94a2.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/center>        <\/p>\n<p>Il sistema AlmaLinux \u00e8 stato sviluppato da CloudLinux in risposta alla cessazione prematura del supporto per CentOS 8 da parte di Red Hat (il rilascio di aggiornamenti per CentOS 8 \u00e8 stato interrotto alla fine del 2021, e non nel 2029 come inizialmente previsto dagli utenti). Il progetto \u00e8 supervisionato da una organizzazione no-profit chiamata AlmaLinux OS Foundation, creata per promuovere uno sviluppo su una piattaforma neutra, coinvolgendo la comunit\u00e0 e utilizzando un modello di governance simile a quello del progetto Fedora. Il sistema \u00e8 gratuito per tutte le categorie di utenti.
