Gli sviluppatori della distribuzione Artix Linux hanno presentato build sperimentali, tradotte per l'uso di XLibre, un fork del server X.Org. Artix Linux si basa sulla base pacchetti di Arch Linux ed \u00e8 noto per l'uso, al posto di systemd, di gestori di sistema come openrc, runit, dinit e s6, a scelta dell'utente. Per i test sono state create build XLibre con i desktop Xfce, Cinnamon e MATE, di dimensioni 2 GB, oltre a una build completa di 4,6 GB. Presto, XLibre si prevede di utilizzarlo anche nelle build principali della distribuzione. Gli utenti delle installazioni esistenti di Artix Linux possono passare a XLibre installando il pacchetto xlibre-xserver e i driver necessari xlibre-xf86-* dal repository \u00abgalaxy-gremlins\u00bb.
