Per utilizzare DXVK \u00e8 necessario avere driver che supportino l'API Vulkan 1.3, come Mesa RADV 25.0, NVIDIA 550.54.14 e Intel ANV 25.0. DXVK pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato per eseguire applicazioni e giochi 3D su Linux tramite Wine, fungendo da alternativa ad alte prestazioni alle implementazioni di Direct3D integrate in Wine, che operano sopra OpenGL.      <\/p>\n<p>Principali modifiche:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stato tradotto in modo obbligatorio l'estensione Vulkan VK_KHR_maintenance5, il che ha aumentato le esigenze relative ai driver utilizzati. Per far funzionare DXVK ora sono necessari almeno i driver Vulkan RADV e ANV della Mesa 25.0 o i driver proprietari NVIDIA 550.54.14 (si raccomanda di utilizzare versioni pi\u00f9 recenti come Mesa 25.1 e NVIDIA 575.51.02). In precedenza, DXVK poteva funzionare con le versioni Mesa RADV 24.0, NVIDIA 535.183.01 e Intel ANV 24.0.\n<p>Le modifiche influenzeranno principalmente gli utenti della piattaforma Windows che utilizzano GPU AMD Polaris e Vega, il supporto delle quali \u00e8 stato interrotto con i driver AMD attuali per Windows. Inoltre, a causa dei crescenti problemi di compatibilit\u00e0, si \u00e8 deciso di supportare i driver AMD per Windows solo su un altro principio.    <\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> La gestione dei descriptor degli shader \u00e8 stata rifatta e modernizzata. Su sistemi con modelli di GPU AMD e NVIDIA relativamente recenti, per il lavoro con i descriptor viene utilizzata di default l'estensione Vulkan VK_EXT_descriptor_buffer, che consente di ridurre significativamente il carico sulla CPU. Questa modifica ha migliorato le prestazioni dei giochi con elevato utilizzo della CPU, come Final Fantasy XIV, God of War, Metaphor: ReFantazio e Watch Dogs 2. In alcune situazioni, a fronte di una performance generale pi\u00f9 stabile, potrebbe verificarsi un leggero calo delle prestazioni nei giochi a elevato utilizzo della GPU. Per disattivare l'ottimizzazione, \u00e8 possibile utilizzare l'impostazione dxvk.enableDescriptorBuffer.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nei sistemi con GPU Intel Battlemage e Lunar Lake, \u00e8 attivata per impostazione predefinita una modalit\u00e0 che avvia periodicamente un processo di deframmentazione e restituzione della memoria non utilizzata al sistema. Grazie alla riduzione della frammentazione della memoria, si osserva una diminuzione del picco di consumo di memoria nei giochi. \u00c8 prevista un'impostazione dxvk.enableMemoryDefrag per gestire l'attivazione della deframmentazione.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nei GPU discreti, ora vengono considerati, se possibile, i dati sul budget di consumo della memoria video (VRAM budget) forniti dal driver, e le risorse non utilizzate vengono restituite pi\u00f9 attivamente al sistema in caso di carenza di memoria.
