Gli sviluppatori della distribuzione AlmaLinux hanno annunciato la creazione di pacchetti con i driver NVIDIA per le versioni AlmaLinux 9 e 10. Sono disponibili anche pacchetti con il driver e il stack CUDA per l'installazione. I driver possono essere utilizzati in configurazioni con UEFI Secure Boot. <\/p>\n

I moduli del kernel del pacchetto proprietario di driver ufficiali fornito da NVIDIA non possono essere caricati in modalit\u00e0 UEFI Secure Boot, poich\u00e9 non sono firmati digitalmente dalla distribuzione. Questo vincolo \u00e8 stato aggirato grazie all'uso di moduli del kernel aperti forniti da NVIDIA, che sono gi\u00e0 inclusi di default nel pacchetto di driver NVIDIA per GPU a partire dall'architettura Turing (GeForce GTX 1600 e RTX 2000). <\/p>\n

Sulla base dei componenti open source forniti da NVIDIA, \u00e8 stato creato un pacchetto nvidia-open-kmod con moduli firmati digitalmente da AlmaLinux. Inoltre, \u00e8 stato redatto un pacchetto almalinux-release-nvidia-driver con la configurazione del repository esterno supportato da NVIDIA, da cui vengono scaricati i driver CUDA e i componenti proprietari del driver NVIDIA che operano nello spazio utente (secondo i termini del contratto di licenza, non \u00e8 consentito il reimballaggio dei componenti proprietari NVIDIA).
