Il driver \u00e8 disponibile per Linux (ARM64, x86_64), FreeBSD (x86_64) e Solaris (x86_64). NVIDIA 580.x \u00e8 diventata l'undicesima serie stabile dopo l'apertura da parte di NVIDIA dei componenti a livello di kernel. I sorgenti dei moduli del kernel nvidia.ko, nvidia-drm.ko (Direct Rendering Manager), nvidia-modeset.ko e nvidia-uvm.ko (Unified Video Memory) della nuova serie NVIDIA, cos\u00ec come i componenti condivisi non legati al sistema operativo, sono disponibili su GitHub. I firmware e le librerie utilizzate nello spazio utente, come i stack CUDA, OpenGL e Vulkan, rimangono proprietari.    <\/p>\n<p>Principali modifiche:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Aggiornati i componenti egl-x11 1.0.3 e egl-wayland 1.1.20.\n<li class=\"l\"> Nella propriet\u00e0 MetaMode \u00e8 stato aggiunto l'attributo \u00abOutputBitsPerComponent\u00bb, che consente di gestire il numero di bit per ogni componente colore trasmesso tramite la porta Display.\n<li class=\"l\"> Risolti i problemi di blocco e di crash delle applicazioni che utilizzano l'API grafica Vulkan. Tra l'altro, \u00e8 stato corretto il crash delle applicazioni GTK 4 che utilizzano un backend basato su Vulkan negli ambienti Wayland, oltre al crash di llama.cpp durante l'utilizzo di Vulkan.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stato introdotto il supporto per il protocollo Wayland fifo-v1, che implementa il meccanismo FIFO (primo arrivato \u2014 primo servito) per la gestione della coda di aggiornamento del contenuto della superficie visualizzata. Dal punto di vista pratico, il protocollo consente di utilizzare l'attesa del completamento della scansione verticale (vblank) durante l'output invece di utilizzare chiamate di callback ogni volta che un nuovo fotogramma \u00e8 pronto per essere visualizzato, risolvendo il problema dell'alto carico sulla GPU con VSync.\n<li class=\"l\"> Abilitato di default il parametro RMIntrLockingMode, che attiva la modalit\u00e0 di gestione delle interruzioni del controller video con ritardi minimi. Questa modalit\u00e0 \u00e8 utile per ridurre i blocchi nei sistemi di realt\u00e0 virtuale in condizioni di elevato carico sul sistema.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata aggiunta una modalit\u00e0 sperimentale per ridurre il tempo di elaborazione della CPU impiegato nella gestione delle interruzioni su schermi a bassa latenza.
