Questa distribuzione \u00e8 progettata per creare router software compatti che supportano i protocolli di routing RIP, OSPF, BGP e PIM. La gestione avviene tramite interfaccia a riga di comando CLI, simile all'interfaccia Cisco IOS. La distribuzione \u00e8 disponibile in versioni per le architetture x86_64 e ARM64 (dimensione delle immagini di installazione compresse ~340 MB).    <\/p>\n<p>Caratteristiche principali della distribuzione:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Include due pacchetti con implementazioni dei protocolli di routing: FRRouting (fork di Quagga) con supporto per BGP, RIP, RIPng (IPv6), OSPF v2, OSPF v3 (IPv6), ISIS e BIRD con supporto per BGP, RIP, RIPng (IPv6), OSPF v2 e OSPF v3 (IPv6).    <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> La distribuzione \u00e8 adattata per l'uso parallelo di pi\u00f9 tabelle di routing isolate (FIB) collegate a interfacce reali e virtuali.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Per il monitoraggio e la gestione \u00e8 possibile utilizzare SNMP (bsnmp-ucd).   <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Supporta l'esportazione dei dati sul traffico sotto forma di flussi Netflow.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Per valutare le prestazioni della rete, il pacchetto include strumenti come NetPIPE, iperf, netblast, netsend e netreceive. Per la raccolta delle statistiche sul traffico viene utilizzato ng_netflow.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Supporto per la creazione di router ridondanti a doppio server \u2014 in modalit\u00e0 normale il carico pu\u00f2 essere distribuito su entrambi i server, ma in caso di guasto il primo router pu\u00f2 assumere il carico del secondo e viceversa (viene applicato il binding attivo). <a href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/vps\/ssd-vps\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"11\">server virtuale.<\/a> MAC indirizzi). L'implementazione si basa sull'uso dei protocolli VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) e CARP (Common Address Redundancy Protocol), realizzato tramite il pacchetto ucarp.    <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Supporto per PPTP, PPPoE e L2TP tramite mpd (Multi-link PPP daemon).  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Supporto per limitazione della larghezza di banda tramite IPFW + dummynet o ng_car.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Per Ethernet \u00e8 supportato il lavoro con VLAN (802.1q), aggregazione dei collegamenti e utilizzo di bridge di rete (802.1w, Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol).    <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Per il monitoraggio viene utilizzato il pacchetto monit.    <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Supporto <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/vpn\/\"   title=\"VPN\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"282\">VPN<\/a>: GRE, GIF, IPSec (IKEv1 e IKEv2 con strongswan), OpenVPN e Wireguard.    <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Supporto NAT64 utilizzando il demone tayga e supporto integrato per tunnel IPv6-to-IPv4.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Possibilit\u00e0 di installare programmi aggiuntivi utilizzando il gestore di pacchetti pkgng.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Utilizzo di dnsmasq come server DHCP e di ssmtp come agente di consegna della posta.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Supporto per la gestione tramite SSH, porta seriale, telnet e console locale. Per semplificare l'amministrazione, \u00e8 inclusa l'utilit\u00e0 tmux (analogo BSD di screen).  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Le immagini di avvio sono state generate basandosi su FreeBSD utilizzando script di NanoBSD.   <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Il meccanismo di aggiornamento del sistema si basa sulla creazione di due partizioni su un'unit\u00e0 Flash: la nuova versione viene caricata nella seconda partizione, che diventa attiva dopo il riavvio, mentre l'altra partizione attende un ulteriore aggiornamento (le partizioni vengono scambiate). Se si riscontrano problemi con l'aggiornamento installato, \u00e8 possibile ripristinare la precedente stato del sistema.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Per verificare l'integrit\u00e0 del sistema, viene memorizzata una somma di controllo sha256 per ogni file.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nel nuovo rilascio:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> L'ambiente di sistema \u00e8 stato aggiornato alla branch FreeBSD 16-HEAD e ai porti aggiornati al 25 settembre 2025.\n<li class=\"l\"> Aggiornate le versioni di bird 2.17, frr 10.4.1 (con supporto per script in linguaggio Lua), openvpn 2.6.15 e strongswan 6.0.1, dnsmasq 2.90, iperf 3.19, lldp 1.0.19, monit 5.35.\n<li class=\"l\"> Aggiunto supporto per sistemi basati sull'architettura ARM64.\n<li class=\"l\"> L'immagine di installazione supporta il caricamento sia su sistemi con UEFI che su sistemi con BIOS. Per la migrazione da MBR a GPT \u00e8 necessaria una reinstallazione.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata effettuata la transizione dallo strumento Nanobsd a poudriere-image.\n<li class=\"l\"> Include i pacchetti: net\/vpp, flashrom, mstflint e le utility Mellanox NIC.\n<li class=\"l\"> I pacchetti isc-dhcp44 e dhcprelya sono stati rimossi, e dnsmasq \u00e8 stato utilizzato al loro posto.
