Nella piattaforma OpenShift AI Service, che consente di organizzare il lavoro di un cluster per l'esecuzione e l'addestramento di modelli AI, \u00e8 stata individuata una vulnerabilit\u00e0 (CVE-2025-10725) che consente a un utente non privilegiato di ottenere i diritti di amministratore del cluster. Dopo un attacco riuscito, l'autore del reato ottiene il controllo del cluster, l'accesso completo a tutti i servizi, ai dati e alle applicazioni in esecuzione nel cluster, oltre a un accesso root ai nodi del cluster. <\/p>\n

Per condurre un attacco \u00e8 sufficiente qualsiasi accesso autenticato non privilegiato alla piattaforma, ad esempio, un ricercatore connesso a OpenShift AI che utilizza un notebook Jupyter. La problematica \u00e8 stata classificata con un livello critico di pericolo - 9.9 su 10. <\/p>\n

La vulnerabilit\u00e0 \u00e8 causata da un'errata assegnazione del ruolo 'kueue-batch-user-role', che \u00e8 stato erroneamente associato al gruppo 'system:authenticated', permettendo a qualsiasi utente del servizio di creare un lavoro (OpenShift Job) in qualsiasi namespace. Tra l'altro, qualsiasi utente poteva creare un lavoro nel namespace privilegiato 'openshift-apiserver-operator' e configurarne l'esecuzione con le autorizzazioni di ServiceAccount. <\/p>\n
