Uno dei dipendenti di Amazon ha presentato la libreria Servo GTK, progettata per integrare il motore web Servo nelle applicazioni che utilizzano GTK4. La libreria implementa un widget GTK, che consente di utilizzare Servo Webview per il rendering dei contenuti web. Tra le caratteristiche \u00e8 presente il supporto per l'accelerazione del rendering tramite OpenGL e la possibilit\u00e0 di gestire eventi in modalit\u00e0 asincrona. Il progetto \u00e8 scritto in linguaggio Rust ed \u00e8 distribuito con licenza MPL 2.0. Come esempio di utilizzo della libreria, \u00e8 stato preparato un semplice browser web con interfaccia basata su GTK.

Il motore Servo \u00e8 stato inizialmente sviluppato da Mozilla, ma successivamente \u00e8 passato sotto l'egida della Linux Foundation. Servo si distingue per il supporto del rendering multithread delle pagine web, per la parallelizzazione delle operazioni con il DOM (Document Object Model) e per l'utilizzo dei meccanismi di programmazione sicura forniti dal linguaggio Rust. Servo \u00e8 stato creato con il supporto alla suddivisione del codice DOM e al rendering in sottocompiti pi\u00f9 piccoli, che possono essere eseguiti in parallelo e utilizzare in modo pi\u00f9 efficiente le risorse delle CPU multicore. Alcune parti di Servo, come il motore CSS multithread e il sistema di rendering WebRender, sono gi\u00e0 integrate in Firefox. I browser ServoShell e Verso si sviluppano basandosi su Servo.
