\u00c8 stato pubblicato il primo rilascio separato del motore browser Servo, scritto in linguaggio Rust. Fino ad ora, il progetto ha fornito solo build notturne. Nelle note di rilascio si segnala solo che in termini di funzionalit\u00e0 \u00e8 analogo alla build notturna del 19 ottobre, per la quale \u00e8 stato effettuato un ulteriore test manuale. Il rilascio ha anche segnato l'inizio della creazione di build per i sistemi Apple con macOS basati su processori con architettura ARM. Le build pronte sono disponibili per Linux, Android, macOS e Windows. <\/p>\n

Il motore \u00e8 stato originariamente sviluppato da Mozilla, ma poi \u00e8 passato sotto l'egida della Linux Foundation. Servo si distingue per il supporto al rendering multiplo delle pagine web, alla parallelizzazione delle operazioni con il DOM (Document Object Model) e all'uso dei meccanismi di programmazione sicura forniti dal linguaggio Rust. Servo \u00e8 stato creato sin dall'inizio con il supporto per la suddivisione del codice DOM e il rendering in compiti pi\u00f9 piccoli che possono essere eseguiti in parallelo e utilizzare in modo pi\u00f9 efficiente le risorse delle CPU multicores. Alcune parti di Servo, come il motore CSS multiplo e il sistema di rendering WebRender, sono gi\u00e0 integrate in Firefox. Sulla base di Servo si sta sviluppando il browser dimostrativo ServoShell.
