Sono stati presentati gli aggiornamenti dei firmware di Ubuntu Touch 24.04-1.1 e 20.04 OTA-11, basati sui pacchetti fondamentali di Ubuntu 24.04 e Ubuntu 20.04. I firmware sono sviluppati dal progetto UBports, che ha assunto lo sviluppo della piattaforma mobile Ubuntu Touch dopo che Canonical si \u00e8 ritirata. Il progetto include anche lo sviluppo di un port sperimentale del desktop Unity 8, rinominato in Lomiri. <\/p>\n

Tra le novit\u00e0 in Ubuntu Touch 24.04-1.1 e 20.04 OTA-11 c'\u00e8 l'inclusione nel firmware per i dispositivi Fairphone 4 e Volla Phone 22 del supporto a VoLTE (Voice over LTE), una tecnologia per la trasmissione della voce sulle reti LTE. \u00c8 stato ridotto il tempo di avvio dopo l'aggiornamento dalla serie Ubuntu Touch 20.04 a Ubuntu Touch 24.04. In 20.04 OTA-11 \u00e8 stato implementato il supporto per le cuffie con interfaccia USB-C. Sono state inoltre risolte problematiche come il carico del 100% sulla CPU durante la scansione dei file multimediali, la scomparsa delle notifiche, le chiusure anomale delle applicazioni, malfunzionamenti del hotspot Wi-Fi e il ripristino della riproduzione dopo la disconnessione delle cuffie Bluetooth.
