Nel codice di base su cui si basa il rilascio di GNOME 50, \u00e8 stato adottato un insieme di modifiche che implementano una configurazione per gestire il ripristino delle applicazioni avviate nella sessione precedente. \u00c8 stato aggiunto un interruttore al configuratore che consente di disabilitare la modalit\u00e0 di salvataggio dell'elenco delle applicazioni avviate al momento della chiusura della sessione e il ripristino delle loro finestre nella sessione successiva.

A maggio \u00e8 stato rimosso dal gestore delle sessioni gnome-session il vecchio codice per il salvataggio delle sessioni, non compatibile con i componenti di gestione delle sessioni basati su systemd. La vecchia implementazione consentiva di salvare l'elenco delle applicazioni attive prima della chiusura della sessione nella cartella ~\/ .config\/gnome-session\/saved-session e veniva gestita attraverso il parametro gconf \"auto-save-session\", ma non funzionava sui sistemi con systemd. <\/p>\n

Alla fine di settembre, \u00e8 stata proposta per GNOME un nuovo sistema di salvataggio delle sessioni basato sull'utilizzo di systemd.
