Galen Hunt, direttore di Microsoft Azure Sphere e gi\u00e0 responsabile dello sviluppo dei sistemi operativi in Microsoft Research, ha presentato un progetto di ricerca per la creazione di strumenti che combinano AI con algoritmi tradizionali, per la riscrittura automatizzata delle pi\u00f9 grandi basi di codice di Microsoft in Rust. L'obiettivo del progetto \u00e8 l'eliminazione totale dei linguaggi C e C++ dalle basi di codice di Microsoft entro il 2030. Come missione viene citata l'eliminazione del debito tecnico nei progetti su larga scala. Si segnala che l'infrastruttura in fase di sviluppo per la gestione del codice \u00e8 progettata per consentire a un singolo ingegnere di tradurre un milione di righe di codice in un mese.
