\u00c8 stata rilasciata la prima versione di FRANK OS \u2014 un sistema operativo per computer basati sul microcontrollore RP2350, basato su FreeRTOS. Il sistema operativo supporta un ambiente desktop con interfaccia utente a finestre, garantendo una compatibilit\u00e0 parziale con l'interfaccia POSIX. Il codice sorgente \u00e8 scritto in linguaggio C ed \u00e8 disponibile con licenza GPL-3.0+. <\/p>\n

L'hardware supportato comprende tastiere e mouse con interfaccia PS\/2, schede di memoria Secure Digital, output video su monitor DVI. \u00c8 possibile utilizzare schede Raspberry Pi Pico 2 e FRANK M2. Il sistema operativo consente di eseguire file eseguibili in formato ELF e garantisce la compatibilit\u00e0 con le applicazioni per Murmulator OS 2. <\/p>\n

Grazie allo scheduler di FreeRTOS, \u00e8 stata implementata una multithreading preemptiva con assegnazione delle attivit\u00e0 per input, compositing, USB e applicazioni. \u00c8 fornito un ambiente desktop con supporto per finestre sovrapposte, menu, barra delle applicazioni con menu Strat e spostamento degli oggetti tramite mouse.
