Sono state presentate le aggiornamenti dei firmware Ubuntu Touch 24.04-1.2 e 20.04 OTA-12, basati sulle basi di pacchetti di Ubuntu 24.04 e Ubuntu 20.04. I firmware sono sviluppati dal progetto UBports, che ha preso in carico lo sviluppo della piattaforma mobile Ubuntu Touch, dopo che la societ\u00e0 Canonical si \u00e8 allontanata da essa. Il progetto sta inoltre sviluppando un port sperimentale del desktop Unity 8, rinominato in Lomiri. <\/p>\n

Tra i cambiamenti in Ubuntu Touch 24.04-1.2: Migliorata la stabilit\u00e0 durante l'utilizzo di VoLTE (Voice over LTE), tecnologia di trasmissione vocale sulle reti LTE. Risolti i problemi di avvio sui dispositivi Sony Xperia X, di commutazione degli operatori per la trasmissione dati su smartphone dual SIM e di ricezione dei messaggi broadcast dalle reti cellulari.
