Pertanto, vorrebbe trasferire la gestione del progetto a sviluppatori che abbiano tempo ed energia per lavorare su Ubuntu MATE.        <\/p>\n<p>Ubuntu MATE rimane ancora sulla ramificazione MATE 1.26, formata nel 2021, presenta problemi irrisolti e soffre della carenza di sviluppatori. Si \u00e8 deciso di non assegnare il status LTS al rilascio di Ubuntu MATE 26.04, e la pubblicazione della versione \u00e8 in dubbio \u2014 nonostante l'inizio della beta testing di Ubuntu 26.10, le build della beta di Ubuntu MATE 26.04 non sono ancora state create.
