Il documento \u00e8 stato proposto da un'azienda terza, One Limited, ed \u00e8 stato redatto al di fuori del processo di standardizzazione IETF, avendo lo status di &#171;Internet-Draft&#187; (chiunque possa rispettare determinati requisiti pu\u00f2 pubblicare una bozza di questo tipo). Il protocollo IPv8 si distingue per l'uso di token JWT OAuth2 memorizzabili localmente per l'autenticazione degli elementi nelle reti e per la verifica di ogni connessione in uscita stabilita tramite una richiesta al DNS8 (senza una richiesta al DNS8, non viene creata alcuna registrazione nella tabella di stato XLATE8 (simile a NAT) e la connessione viene bloccata).<\/p>\n<p>L'indirizzamento in IPv8 \u00e8 simile a IPv4 \u2014 lo spazio degli indirizzi IPv4 \u00e8 un sottogruppo di IPv8, e l'indirizzo IPv8 \u00e8 formato come prefisso di routing (numero del sistema autonomo) + indirizzo IPv4 (&lt;asn&gt;.n.n.n.n). Con un prefisso di routing nullo (0.n.n.n.n), si ottiene un normale indirizzo IPv4 che pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato per interagire con le reti esistenti. <a href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/lir\/ipv4\/\">IPv4<\/a>. In sostanza, a ciascun sistema autonomo (ASN) viene assegnato un proprio intervallo di IPv4. Nell'intestazione del pacchetto, nel campo IP, viene specificato il numero di versione 8, e a ciascun indirizzo mittente e destinatario vengono riservati 64 bit \u2014 32 bit per il prefisso ASN + 32 bit per l'indirizzo host in stile IPv4. Nella tabella di routing globale BGP8 \u00e8 consentita solo una registrazione per ogni ASN, e la dimensione minima del prefisso in BGP8 \u00e8 \\\/16.<\/p>\n<p>Si afferma che la soluzione \u00e8 compatibile al 100% con le versioni precedenti, e l'implementazione pu\u00f2 avvenire senza soluzione di continuit\u00e0, senza necessit\u00e0 di modificare i dispositivi esistenti, le applicazioni e le reti. Ci\u00f2 viene ottenuto grazie all'uso nelle reti finali e nei sistemi client di IPv4 con un traduttore di indirizzi XLATE8 per l'accesso alla rete globale IPv8, il quale converte gli indirizzi tra IPv4 e IPv8 in modo simile al NAT. Sono inoltre offerti elementi per l'uso diretto di IPv8 nei sistemi finali e nell'infrastruttura di rete, come i socket di rete AF_INET8, un nuovo tipo di registrazione nel DNS \u2014 A8, ARP8, ICMPv8, SNMPv8, e protocolli di routing BGP8, IBGP8, OSPF8 e IS-IS8.<\/p>\n<p>Lo stack base di IPv8 include il protocollo DHCP8, il sistema <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" title=\"nomi di dominio\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/domain\/\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">nomi di dominio<\/a> DNS8, il protocollo di sincronizzazione del tempo NTP8, il protocollo di raccolta telemetrica NetLog8, il resolver WHOIS8 per l'approvazione dei percorsi, il sistema di gestione degli accessi ACL8 e il traduttore di indirizzi IPv4\/IPv8 XLATE8. Tutta la funzionalit\u00e0 relativa alla raccolta della telemetria, all'autenticazione, alla risoluzione dei nomi, alla sincronizzazione del tempo e alla traduzione degli indirizzi \u00e8 realizzata in forma di piattaforma unificata Zone Server.
