Gli sviluppatori ricordano che oltre a OpenBSD, <strong>OpenBGPD-portable<\/strong> funziona su <strong>FreeBSD<\/strong> e distribuzioni Linux <strong>Alpine, Debian, Fedora, RHEL\/CentOS e Ubuntu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cosa c'\u00e8 nel nuovo OpenBGPD 9.1<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00e8 stata accelerata l'elaborazione dei filtri outbound grazie alla memorizzazione delle regole in un array e alla deduplicazione dei filtri identici tra peers;<\/li>\n<li>\u00e8 stato migliorato il logging degli errori di parsing degli attributi, che causano reset della sessione tramite notifica di errore UPDATE ATTRLIST;<\/li>\n<li>sono state aggiunte nuove metriche di memoria per show rib memory, alcune delle quali sono disponibili anche in show neighbor;<\/li>\n<li>\u00e8 stato corretto un errore logico nella gestione delle configurazioni del dump MRT per per-peer e per-group.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Il principale focus in OpenBGPD 9.1 non \u00e8 stato sull'espansione delle funzionalit\u00e0, ma sull'aumento dell'efficienza operativa in scenari di carico elevato. Sono stati riprogettati  <strong>i filtri outbound<\/strong>: ora le regole sono memorizzate in un array e i filtri identici tra i vicini vengono deduplicati. Secondo gli autori del progetto, queste modifiche insieme a quelle in filter_set consentono di ridurre il tempo di sincronizzazione iniziale su grandi server di route di oltre <strong>25%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Migliorata la gestione <strong>filter_sets<\/strong> durante il <strong>RDE<\/strong>. Nel progetto si \u00e8 abbandonata la precedente architettura a favore di un array lineare di oggetti set, per ridurre il numero di cache miss e accelerare il passaggio degli itinerari attraverso la politica di filtraggio. Per gli operatori di rete, questo significa continuare l\u2019ottimizzazione di OpenBGPD per configurazioni complesse e scenari BGP intensivi, dove non sono solo importanti la correttezza, ma anche un comportamento prevedibile sotto carico.<\/p>\n<p>Un\u2019altra importante novit\u00e0 riguarda l\u2019osservabilit\u00e0. In OpenBGPD 9.1 sono state aggiunte <strong>nuove metriche di memoria<\/strong>, disponibili tramite il comando show rib memory; parte di questi dati \u00e8 ora monitorata <strong>per i vicini<\/strong> e visualizzata tramite show neighbor. Allo stesso tempo, \u00e8 stato migliorato il logging degli errori di parsing degli attributi, che possono causare un reset della sessione BGP con il messaggio <strong>UPDATE ATTRLIST error<\/strong>.
