Per impostazione predefinita, GhostBSD utilizza il file system ZFS. Supporta sia l'operativit\u00e0 in modalit\u00e0 Live che l'installazione su disco rigido (viene utilizzato l'installatore ginstall, scritto in Python). Le immagini di avvio sono state create per l'architettura x86_64.<\/p>\n<p>Nella nuova versione:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\">Il server X.Org \u00e8 stato sostituito con un fork chiamato XLibre. Come motivazioni per il cambiamento si cita il carattere abbandonato del progetto X.Org e la perdita della speranza che possa mai uscire dalla stagnazione, specialmente dopo che Red Hat ha deciso di concentrare tutti gli sforzi sull'implementazione di Wayland, con l'intenzione di interrompere il supporto per X11 in GTK5. Secondo chi gestisce GhostBSD, i progetti MATE, Xfce e GNUstep non sono ancora pronti per il passaggio a Wayland, mentre le azioni dei manutentori di X.Org appaiono distruttive e irrazionali a causa della rimozione delle modifiche create dall'autore di XLibre.<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\">Effettuato il passaggio a FreeBSD 15.0-RELEASE (in precedenza il sistema operativo era basato su FreeBSD 14.2).<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\">Per impostazione predefinita, viene utilizzato il terminale zsh.<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\">Aggiunta la supporto per <a href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/it\/vpn\/\">VPN<\/a> WireGuard e WPA Enterprise (802.1X\/EAP).<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\">Aggiunta la possibilit\u00e0 di aggiornare tra diverse versioni significative degli ambienti di avvio nel gestore degli aggiornamenti
