Joomla offre funzionalit\u00e0 come strumenti per la gestione degli utenti e dei file multimediali, supporto per la creazione di versioni multilingue delle pagine, sistema di gestione delle campagne pubblicitarie, rubrica utenti, sondaggi, ricerca integrata, sistema di categorizzazione dei link e monitoraggio dei clic, editor WYSIWYG, sistema di template, gestione dei flussi di notizie, API XML-RPC per integrazione con altri sistemi, caching delle pagine e una raccolta di plugin. Il codice del progetto \u00e8 scritto in PHP e distribuito con licenza GPLv2.      <\/p>\n<p>Modifiche chiave nella nuova versione:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stato implementato un nuovo plugin di protezione contro i bot (Proof-of-Work CAPTCHA) che non dipende da API esterne e verifica tramite calcoli matematici in background (brute forcing di hash), senza che l'utente se ne accorga. L'implementazione si basa sulla libreria altcha.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stato realizzato un editor visivo per i flussi di lavoro (Workflow) che visualizza il processo di approvazione dei materiali sotto forma di grafo interattivo e consente di gestire la revisione e la modifica dei materiali prima della pubblicazione con il coinvolgimento di revisori, editor e correttori.    <center><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Uscita del sistema di gestione dei contenuti Joomla 6.1\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/108147bffafe132c9dbafcc31fed7ae6.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/center>\n<li class=\"l\"> Sono stati aggiunti campi multimediali personalizzati per la selezione di video, file audio e documenti (pdf, docx, ecc.).
