Si \u00e8 tenuto<\/a> Primo rilascio pubblico della libreria multimediale LDL (Little DirectMedia Layer), che consente di creare applicazioni grafiche in grado di funzionare sia su sistemi moderni che obsoleti (Windows 95+, distribuzioni con kernel Linux 2.0+, FreeBSD 3.0+). Viene fornita una semplice API cross-platform per la gestione delle finestre e l'elaborazione degli eventi dei dispositivi di input. Per il rendering pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato OpenGL 1.0-4.6. Il codice \u00e8 fornito sotto licenza LGPL 3.0.<\/p>\n

Il rilascio \u00e8 notevole per il passaggio dall'utilizzo del linguaggio C++98 al linguaggio ANSI C (C89) per garantire la massima portabilit\u00e0 e compatibilit\u00e0 con i vecchi compilatori e piattaforme, tra cui DOS, Windows 95 e PlayStation 1. Il progetto prevede uno sviluppo graduale: nella prima versione sono offerte funzionalit\u00e0 per lavorare con finestre, eventi di input e grafica, dopo di che inizier\u00e0 lo sviluppo del renderer 2D, strumenti per lavorare con il suono e i caratteri, backend per lavorare sopra le librerie SDL 1.2, SDL 2.x. SDL 3.x<\/a>, SFML<\/a> e GLFW<\/a>. L'uso dei backend SDL, SFML e GLFW permetter\u00e0 di compilare applicazioni per piattaforme non supportate direttamente in LDL, senza modificare il codice. Nei piani futuri \u00e8 inoltre prevista la creazione di un'API universale per lavorare con sprite e grafica 2D, che pu\u00f2 essere utilizzata indipendentemente dal backend scelto (OpenGL, Vulkan, rendering software, librerie come SDL).<\/p>\n
