Il progetto \u00e8 posizionato come un pacchetto CFD ad alte prestazioni e a basso consumo di memoria, in grado di funzionare su GPU e CPU di vari produttori tramite OpenCL.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><\/noindex><\/p>\n<p>Il principale cambiamento della versione 3.7 \u00e8 stata l'ottimizzazione del nucleo di rendering della superficie isosuperficiale del criterio Q (graphics_q()), utilizzato per visualizzare le strutture vorticosi nel flusso. Nella precedente implementazione, il nucleo caricava dalla memoria video un pesante \u0448\u0430\u0431\u043b\u043e\u043d di 32 velocit\u00e0 tridimensionali per ogni cella di matrice. Ora, un gruppo di lavoro di thread di dimensione 8\u00d78\u00d78 carica un blocco di 11\u00d711\u00d711 velocit\u00e0 in 16 KB di memoria locale di primo livello, dopodich\u00e9 i thread adiacenti riutilizzano questi dati. Secondo le stime dell'autore, questo riduce il numero di caricamenti dalla VRAM di circa 12 volte \u2014 a 2,6 velocit\u00e0 per cella \u2014 e sposta il nucleo da una modalit\u00e0 limitata dalla larghezza di banda della memoria a una modalit\u00e0 limitata dai calcoli.<\/p>\n<p>Il guadagno pratico dipende dall'hardware specifico. Su nuove GPU con un sistema di cache avanzato, l'ottimizzazione manuale della memoria locale pu\u00f2 offrire un incremento minimo o addirittura ridurre il frame rate. Su alcune GPU pi\u00f9 vecchie, l'autore ha registrato un'accelerazione fino a due volte, particolarmente evidente nella modalit\u00e0 grafica interattiva FluidX3D. Ad esempio, nei test pubblicati, la NVIDIA Titan Xp \u00e8 passata da 7 a 13 fps, l'Intel UHD 770 da 8 a 14 fps in una modalit\u00e0, e l'Intel Arc A750 da 22 a 26 fps.<\/p>\n<p>Per le GPU integrate pi\u00f9 vecchie \u00e8 previsto un ripristino automatico alla versione precedente: alcune di queste unit\u00e0 non supportano i gruppi di lavoro da 512 thread o hanno meno di 16 KB di memoria locale L1. In questi casi, FluidX3D continuer\u00e0 a utilizzare la vecchia variante del core, mantenendo la compatibilit\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p>In questa versione sono state semplificate anche le condizioni per il rendering VR, \u00e8 stato disabilitato lo svolgimento dei cicli nella rasterizzazione per ridurre la 'spaghetti' nell'output assembly, \u00e8 stata aggiunta una microottimizzazione in convert_triangle\/_interpolated(), e nell'adattatore OpenCL \u00e8 stato corretto il messaggio di errore per un nome di core vuoto e la dimensione del gruppo di lavoro.<\/p>\n<p><noindex><\/p>\n<p>FluidX3D include un renderer 3D interattivo integrato che consente di visualizzare i campi di velocit\u00e0, le linee di flusso, le isosuperfici del criterio Q e i tagli direttamente durante il calcolo, senza la necessit\u00e0 di esportare in uno strumento di post-elaborazione separato. <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/fluidx3d.com\/\">FluidX3D<\/a> Il progetto include anche il supporto per superfici libere, convezione termica, modelli di turbolenza Smagorinsky-Lilly, tracciamento delle particelle, esportazione VTK e utilizzo di pi\u00f9 GPU.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><br \/>\n<noindex><\/p>\n<p>\u00c8 importante notare il status di licenza: il codice sorgente di FluidX3D \u00e8 aperto e disponibile su GitHub, tuttavia <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ProjectPhysX\/FluidX3D\/blob\/master\/LICENSE.md\">la licenza del progetto<\/a> non \u00e8 libera nel senso stretto di OSI\/FSF.
