Il progetto MATE continua a sviluppare il codice sorgente di GNOME 2.32, mantenendo il concetto classico di utente desktop. La versione 1.29 \u00e8 presentata come sperimentale e viene utilizzata per lo sviluppo e il test delle funzionalit\u00e0 della futura versione stabile MATE 1.30. <\/p>\n<p>Dalla primavera del 2024, lo sviluppo di MATE era in stallo, ma ora Victor Kareh di Red Hat si \u00e8 unito per fornire un supporto attivo al progetto. Tra le novit\u00e0 di MATE 1.29:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Nella configurazione MateRROutput \u00e8 stata aggiunta la propriet\u00e0 hotplug_mode_update, che utilizza l'estensione RandR per supportare il cambiamento dinamico della risoluzione da parte dei dispositivi di output.
