Non verr\u00e0 pubblicata una versione separata di Ubuntu MATE 26.04, ma i pacchetti con il desktop MATE per Ubuntu 26.04 continueranno ad essere forniti e supportati adeguatamente. Il nuovo team di sviluppatori ha iniziato a risolvere e correggere i bug accumulati nel corso di anni di stagnazione del progetto e sta anche lavorando all'aggiornamento di MATE alla versione 1.28, passando dalla precedente versione 1.26, rilasciata nel 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Gli utenti delle passate versioni di Ubuntu MATE possono passare al pacchetto base di Ubuntu 26.04 attraverso l'installazione degli aggiornamenti, ma non verr\u00e0 pubblicata un'immagine di installazione separata di Ubuntu MATE basata su Ubuntu 26.04. Su nuovi sistemi, \u00e8 possibile installare qualsiasi versione di Ubuntu 26.04, dopodich\u00e9 \u00e8 possibile installare il desktop MATE con il comando 'sudo apt install ubuntu-mate-desktop'.
