Qualcomm Linux si basa su strumenti e meta-pacchetti dei progetti Yocto e OpenEmbedded, arricchiti con patch, driver, firmware, pacchetti e file di configurazione per supportare i blocchi hardware specifici utilizzati nei chip Qualcomm.      <\/p>\n<p>Il dispositivo si sviluppa utilizzando un modello di sviluppo open source e trasferisce le modifiche preparate ai progetti upstream. I componenti proprietari di Qualcomm sono integrati nel dispositivo sotto forma di overlay modulari distintivi. Il software proposto supporta tutti i processori, i sottosistemi e i componenti della piattaforma Qualcomm, inclusi CPU, GPU e vari acceleratori hardware per AI, elaborazione dati e operazioni multimediali (VPU, DPU, NPU, DSP). L'installazione di un overlay comporta l'installazione dei corrispondenti moduli del kernel e librerie ottimizzati sopra l'ambiente di base standard senza modificarlo.
