Lo sviluppatore russo Nikita Aksy\u043e\u043d\u043e\u0432, noto anche come Carter54, ha portato nel browser la classica Carmageddon<\/a>. Non si tratta di un'emulazione tramite DOSBox, ma di un port nativo del gioco originale del 1997, che funziona direttamente nei moderni browser.<\/p>\n

Secondo le parole dell'autore, pubblicate su DTF (dtf.ru),<\/a>\u00e8 stato utilizzato un progetto fan-made Dethrace<\/a>, dedicato al reverse engineering di Carmageddon e al ripristino del motore per il funzionamento su sistemi moderni. Aksy\u043e\u043d\u043e\u0432 sottolinea che Dethrace \u00e8 stato decompilato per circa il 70%, ma le principali funzioni di gioco sono gi\u00e0 operative, quindi ci\u00f2 \u00e8 stato sufficiente per il porting nel browser.<\/p>\n
