Il repository del progetto Nitter, in cui si \u00e8 sviluppato il frontend libero (GPLv3) per accedere a X.com senza l'imposizione di JavaScript, analytics, tracker e servizi di terze parti, \u00e8 stato restituito dalla modalit\u00e0 archiviata. L'autore di Nitter ha finora rilasciato solo una dichiarazione che il progetto \u00e8 tornato in funzione dopo consultazioni con i legali. Un annuncio simile \u00e8 stato pubblicato dai creatori di XCancel. Ulteriori dettagli verranno rivelati in seguito.    <\/p>\n<p>Il funzionamento dei servizi Nitter e XCancel \u00e8 stato interrotto due settimane fa dopo aver ricevuto da X Corp una notifica che richiedeva di cessare l'attivit\u00e0 illegale (cease and desist) con minaccia di azione legale. Nella notifica si affermava che i servizi violano leggi specifiche statali e federali degli Stati Uniti, inclusa la Legge texana sull'accesso illecito ai computer (\u00a7 143.001 e \u00a7 33.02) e la Legge Lanham sui marchi (\u00a7\u00a7 1114, 1125 del 15 U.S.C.). Gli sviluppatori di Nitter e XCancel sono stati accusati di accesso illegale all'API di X.com e ai dati ad esso correlati, nonch\u00e9 di ottenere accesso a account X e token di sessione in violazione
