Questa versione \u00e8 segnalata come non ancora pronta per un uso quotidiano. Le build sono state preparate in formato Flatpak e pubblicate nel repository beta su Flathub.     <\/p>\n<p>Il ramo Pidgin 3 \u00e8 in sviluppo dal 2011, dopo tre anni di discussioni a livello di concetti e idee. In Pidgin 3 si \u00e8 passati al sistema di tipi GObject, alle librerie GTK4 e Adwaita, al sistema di build Meson, GPlugin per la gestione dei plugin, SQLite per l'archiviazione della cronologia delle chat e GSettings per la configurazione. L'API \u00e8 stata completamente ridisegnata. Per la definizione degli elementi dell'interfaccia \u00e8 stato utilizzato GTK Builder XML, mentre per la visualizzazione della cronologia delle chat \u00e8 stata creata una libreria di widget personalizzati chiamata Talkatu.    <\/p>\n<p>Nell'interfaccia di Pidgin 3 sono combinati in un'unica finestra l'elenco dei contatti e la chat. \u00c8 stata interrotta la fornitura del client console Finch (non \u00e8 escluso che possa essere ripristinato in futuro). Tra i protocolli, al momento sono in fase di sviluppo le implementazioni dei protocolli IRCv3, XMPP, SIP, Demo, Bonjour e Zulip. Il ramo Pidgin 3 non \u00e8 compatibile con Pidgin 2 e con i plugin precedentemente creati, ma pu\u00f2 essere installato parallelamente alle versioni esistenti di Pidgin 2.      <\/p>\n<p>Tra le modifiche presenti nella versione di prova:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stato proposto un nuovo set di icone che riflettono lo stato dei partecipanti.    <center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/b521625cb3c44bbc561bb353a1b3e398.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/center>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata implementata l\u2019aggiornamento automatico della connessione dopo un\u2019interruzione. I tentativi di riconnessione avvengono ogni minuto e, a differenza di Pidgin 2, non sono limitati.
