Gli sviluppatori di Google hanno presentato un nuovo metodo di autenticazione a due fattori che prevede l'utilizzo di uno smartphone Android come chiave di sicurezza fisica.<\/p>\n

Molti hanno gi\u00e0 avuto a che fare con l'autenticazione a due fattori, che implica non solo l'inserimento di una password standard, ma anche l'uso di uno strumento secondario per la verifica dell'identit\u00e0. Ad esempio, alcuni servizi, dopo l'inserimento della password dell'utente, inviano un SMS contenente un codice generato che consente di completare la registrazione. Esiste anche un metodo alternativo per implementare l'autenticazione a due fattori, utilizzando una chiave hardware fisica come YubiKey, che deve essere collegata al PC per l'attivazione.  <\/p>\n

Gli sviluppatori di Google propongono di utilizzare uno smartphone Android come chiave hardware. Invece di inviare una notifica al dispositivo, il sito web cercher\u00e0 di connettersi allo smartphone tramite Bluetooth. \u00c8 notevole che per utilizzare questo metodo non sia necessario collegare fisicamente lo smartphone al computer, poich\u00e9 il raggio d'azione del Bluetooth \u00e8 abbastanza ampio. Inoltre, la probabilit\u00e0 che un malintenzionato riesca ad accedere allo smartphone mentre si trova nella gamma di connessione Bluetooth \u00e8 estremamente bassa.  <\/p>\n

Al momento, questo nuovo metodo di autenticazione \u00e8 supportato solo da alcuni servizi Google, tra cui Gmail e G-Suite. Per un funzionamento corretto \u00e8 necessario uno smartphone con Android 7.0 Nougat o versione successiva.<\/p>\n
