Nel servizio Librem One, progettato per essere utilizzato sugli smartphone Librem 5<\/a><\/noindex>, subito dopo il lancio<\/a><\/noindex> \u00e8 emersa una problematica critica<\/a><\/noindex> di sicurezza, che compromette il progetto, presentato come una piattaforma sicura per garantire la privacy. La vulnerabilit\u00e0 \u00e8 stata trovata nel servizio Librem Chat e consentiva di accedere alla chat con qualsiasi utente, senza conoscere i parametri di autenticazione.<\/p>\n

Nel codice utilizzato per il backend dell'autenticazione tramite LDAP (matrix-appservice-ldap3) per la rete Matrix \u00e8 stato commesso un errore l'errore<\/a><\/noindex>, che \u00e8 stata trasferita anche nel codice del servizio Librem One. Invece della riga «result, _ = yield self._ldap_simple_bind» \u00e8 stata indicata «result = yield self._ldap_simple_bind», il che permetteva a qualsiasi utente non autorizzato di accedere alla chat con qualsiasi identificatore. Gli sviluppatori del progetto Matrix che hanno commesso l'errore affermano<\/a><\/noindex>, il che significa che il problema si presentava solo nel ramo master «matrix-appservice-ldap3», e non nelle versioni rilasciate, ma nella repository vi era la riga problematica \u00e8 presente<\/a><\/noindex> \u00e8 presente fin dal 2016 (\u00e8 possibile che le condizioni per sfruttare la vulnerabilit\u00e0 siano emerse solo dopo alcune modifiche recenti).<\/p>\n

Il set di servizi Librem One lanciato prevede un abbonamento a pagamento ($7,99 al mese o $71,91 all'anno), ma come base per i client mobili e i processori server sono stati utilizzati progetti open source esistenti, che sono stati rinominati<\/a><\/noindex> per essere distribuiti sotto il marchio Librem. Ad esempio, Librem Chat \u00e8 un client Matrix rinominato Riot<\/a><\/noindex>, Librem Social \u00e8 basato su Tusky<\/a><\/noindex>, Librem Mail \u00e8 stato rinominato da K-9<\/a><\/noindex>, Librem Tunnel \u00e8 stato preso da Ics-openvpn<\/a><\/noindex>. I componenti server sono basati su
\n Postfix e Dovecot per Librem Mail, Matrix<\/a><\/noindex> per Librem Chat e Mastodon<\/a><\/noindex> per Librem Social. Il motivo per cui le applicazioni sono fornite con nomi diversi \u00e8 la volont\u00e0 di riunire sotto un marchio riconoscibile vari servizi decentralizzati basati su standard aperti (Matrix, ActivityPub, IMAP). <\/p>\n
