Gli scienziati hanno presentato una nuova tecnologia promettente per la stampa in metallo di micro-oggetti con risoluzione molto alta \u2014 fino a 250 nm. Oggi, la stampa 3D di micro-oggetti in metallo avviene con inchiostri appositamente progettati. Si tratta di nanoparticelle di metallo sospese in un liquido. La risoluzione di tali stampanti \u00e8 nell'ordine dei micrometri, e la stampa si conclude con un indispensabile processo di trattamento termico per fissare il modello. In questa fase finale ci sono molti difetti, tra cui una bassa formazione di pori e contaminazione organica (da solventi). Pi\u00f9 precisamente, con ioni metallici. \u00c8 stata proposta una nuova progettazione della testina di stampa con due cosiddetti anodi di consumo. Perch\u00e9 due? \u00c8 meglio cos\u00ec! Si possono stampare micro-oggetti metallici alternativamente con un metallo o con l'altro, o addirittura simultaneamente con entrambi, creando cos\u00ec una lega con il rapporto desiderato tra i due materiali. Il principio della nuova tecnologia di stampa 3D \u00e8 che, sotto alta tensione applicata all'anodo, gli ioni metallici vengono liberati e si dirigono verso il substrato, dove si depositano e si trasformano nel metallo di partenza. Affinch\u00e9 questo funzioni, il substrato \u00e8 rivestito con uno strato di solvente, nel quale avvengono reazioni chimico-ossidative.
