Nella libreria PharStreamWrapper<\/a><\/noindex>, che fornisce gestori per la protezione da esecuzioni<\/a><\/noindex> attacchi<\/a><\/noindex> attraverso la sostituzione di file in formato \u00abPhar\u00bb, identificata<\/a><\/noindex> vulnerabilit\u00e0<\/a><\/noindex> (CVE-2019-11831<\/a><\/noindex>), che consente di eludere la protezione contro la deserializzazione del codice tramite la sostituzione di caratteri \u00ab..\u00bb nei percorsi. Ad esempio, un attaccante pu\u00f2 utilizzare un URL come \u00abphar:\/\/\/path\/bad.phar\/..\/good.phar\u00bb e la libreria estrarr\u00e0 nella verifica il nome base \u00ab\/path\/good.phar\u00bb, anche se durante l'elaborazione di un percorso simile verr\u00e0 utilizzato il file \u00ab\/path\/bad.phar\u00bb.<\/p>\n

La libreria \u00e8 stata sviluppata dai creatori di CMS TYPO3, ma viene utilizzata anche in progetti Drupal e Joomla, rendendoli a loro volta vulnerabili. Il problema \u00e8 stato risolto nelle versioni PharStreamWrapper 2.1.1 e 3.1.1<\/a><\/noindex>. Il progetto Drupal ha risolto il problema negli aggiornamenti 7.67, 8.6.16 e 8.7.1. In Joomla, il problema si manifesta a partire dalla versione 3.9.3 ed \u00e8 stato risolto nella versione 3.9.6. Per risolvere il problema in TYPO3 \u00e8 necessario aggiornare la libreria PharStreamWapper.<\/p>\n

Da un punto di vista pratico, la vulnerabilit\u00e0 in PharStreamWapper consente a un utente del Drupal Core, con autorizzazioni di amministratore del tema (\u2018Administer theme\u2019), di caricare un file phar malevolo e di eseguire il codice PHP in esso contenuto sotto le sembianze di un legittimo archivio phar. Ricordiamo che il fulcro dell'attacco \u00abPhar deserialization\u00bb \u00e8 che durante il controllo dei file caricati tramite la funzione PHP file_exists(), questa funzione esegue automaticamente la deserializzazione dei metadati dai file Phar (PHP Archive) quando elabora percorsi che iniziano con \u00abphar:\/\/\/\u00bb. Il file phar pu\u00f2 essere trasmesso sotto forma di immagine, poich\u00e9 la funzione file_exists() determina il tipo MIME in base al contenuto e non all'estensione.<\/p>\n
