Questa issue \u00e8 causata da una condizione di gara (race condition) che pu\u00f2 verificarsi durante l'esecuzione della funzione rds_tcp_kill_sock al momento della pulizia dei socket per lo spazio dei nomi di rete. <\/p>\n<p>Nella specifica <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/nvd.nist.gov\/vuln\/detail\/CVE-2019-11815\">NVD<\/a><\/noindex> il problema \u00e8 contrassegnato come sfruttabile da remoto, ma stando alla descrizione <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/git.kernel.org\/pub\/scm\/linux\/kernel\/git\/torvalds\/linux.git\/commit\/?id=cb66ddd156203daefb8d71158036b27b0e2caf63\">le patch<\/a><\/noindex>, senza la presenza locale nel sistema e la manipolazione degli spazi dei nomi, \u00e8 impossibile organizzare un attacco da remoto. In particolare, secondo i <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.suse.com\/security\/cve\/CVE-2019-11815\/\">opinione<\/a><\/noindex> sviluppatori di SUSE, la vulnerabilit\u00e0 pu\u00f2 essere sfruttata solo localmente, poich\u00e9 organizzare un attacco risulta piuttosto complesso e richiede privilegi aggiuntivi nel sistema. Se in NVD il livello di gravit\u00e0 \u00e8 valutato 9.3 (CVSS v2) e 8.1 (CVSS v2) punti, secondo la classificazione di SUSE, la minaccia \u00e8 valutata 6.4 su 10. <\/p>\n<p>Anche i rappresentanti di Ubuntu <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/people.canonical.com\/~ubuntu-security\/cve\/2019\/CVE-2019-11815.html\">hanno valutato<\/a><\/noindex> Il rischio del problema \u00e8 considerato moderato. In base alla specifica CVSS v3.0, il problema ha ricevuto un alto livello di complessit\u00e0 d'attacco e la possibilit\u00e0 di sfruttamento \u00e8 valutata solo 2,2 su 10.<\/p>\n<p>Secondo <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/tools.cisco.com\/security\/center\/viewAlert.x?alertId=60160\">il report<\/a><\/noindex> della Cisco, la vulnerabilit\u00e0 pu\u00f2 essere sfruttata a distanza inviando pacchetti TCP ai servizi di rete operativi <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/linux.die.net\/man\/7\/rds\">RDS<\/a><\/noindex> e c'\u00e8 gi\u00e0 un prototipo dell'exploit. Non \u00e8 chiaro quanto queste informazioni siano accurate; \u00e8 possibile che il report presenti solo supposizioni artistiche dell'NVD. Secondo <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/vuldb.com\/?id.134492\">le informazioni<\/a><\/noindex> di VulDB, l'exploit non \u00e8 ancora stato creato e il problema \u00e8 sfruttato solo localmente.<\/p>\n<p>Il problema si manifesta nei kernel fino alla versione 5.0.8 ed \u00e8 stato bloccato dalla patch di marzo <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/git.kernel.org\/pub\/scm\/linux\/kernel\/git\/torvalds\/linux.git\/commit\/?id=cb66ddd156203daefb8d71158036b27b0e2caf63\">, inclusa nel kernel 5.0.8. Nella maggior parte delle distribuzioni, il problema rimane irrisolto (<\/a><\/noindex>).
