I programmatori di Google hanno presentato una nuova versione degli occhiali \"smart\" chiamata Glass Enterprise Edition 2. Rispetto a quella precedente<\/a><\/noindex> il nuovo modello ha componenti hardware pi\u00f9 performanti e una piattaforma software aggiornata.<\/p>\n

Il prodotto funziona sulla base di Qualcomm Snapdragon XR1<\/a><\/noindex>, che \u00e8 posizionata dal produttore come la prima piattaforma al mondo per la realt\u00e0 aumentata (Extended Reality). Grazie a ci\u00f2 \u00e8 stato possibile non solo aumentare notevolmente la durata della batteria del dispositivo, ma anche migliorare le prestazioni generali. La struttura del nuovo modello si basa su una montatura robusta di Smith Optics, che conferisce al dispositivo l'aspetto di normali occhiali. Questo significa che i Glass Enterprise Edition 2 sono significativamente meno ingombranti rispetto a prodotti concorrenti come Microsoft HoloLens o Magic Leap.<\/p>\n

Il software si basa sulla piattaforma Android. Ci\u00f2 significa che lo sviluppo di software per questi occhiali sar\u00e0 notevolmente semplificato. Come il modello precedente, i nuovi occhiali sono dotati di un piccolo proiettore che consente di proiettare immagini virtuali. Nella struttura degli occhiali \u00e8 integrata una fotocamera da 8 MP, utilizzabile per registrare o trasmettere video in prima persona. L'autonomia \u00e8 garantita da una batteria ricaricabile da 820 mAh. Per il ripristino dell'energia consumata si consiglia di utilizzare l'interfaccia USB Type-C.<\/p>\n
