Sviluppatore dello strumento di monitoraggio delle condizioni di sistema attivo dal 2004 dstat<\/a><\/noindex>, che offriva una sostituzione universale e pi\u00f9 funzionale agli strumenti vmstat, iostat, mpstat, netstat e ifstat, ha riferito<\/a><\/noindex> sulla cessazione dello sviluppo del progetto a causa di conflitti di nomi, provocati dalle azioni di Red Hat. La motivazione \u00e8 venuta a mancare dopo che Red Hat ha deciso di sostituire dstat<\/a><\/noindex> con un nuovo strumento di sviluppo proprietario (della suite Performance Co-Pilot<\/a><\/noindex>), offerta<\/a><\/noindex> con lo stesso nome. <\/p>\n

L'autore di dstat non vede pi\u00f9 senso nello sviluppare il progetto e non ha intenzione di combattere contro una multinazionale miliardaria, dimostrando l'anti-etico sviluppo di prodotti concorrenti con lo stesso nome. Tutti i problemi e gli errori segnalati nel dstat originale devono ora essere indirizzati a Red Hat.
