Con l'annuncio dei processori desktop Ryzen 3000 basati sull'architettura Zen 2, AMD ha ufficialmente rivelato i dettagli sul nuovo chipset X570 — un nuovo set di logica per schede madri Socket AM4 di fascia alta. La principale novit\u00e0 in questo chipset — \u00e8 il supporto per il bus PCI Express 4.0, ma sono emerse anche altre interessanti caratteristiche.<\/p>\n

\"AMD<\/p>\n

\u00c8 subito evidente che le nuove schede madri basate su X570, che arriveranno sugli scaffali dei negozi a breve, sono progettate per funzionare fin dall'inizio con la PCI Express 4.0. Ci\u00f2 significa che tutte le porte delle nuove schede saranno in grado di funzionare con dispositivi compatibili in questa nuova modalit\u00e0 ad alta velocit\u00e0 senza alcuna limitazione (quando installato in un sistema con un processore Ryzen di terza generazione). Questo riguarda sia le porte collegate al controller della PCI Express del processore, sia quelle gestite dal controller del chipset.<\/p>\n

Il chipset X570 offre fino a 16 linee PCI Express 4.0, di cui met\u00e0 pu\u00f2 essere riconfigurata per porte SATA. Inoltre, include un controller SATA indipendente con quattro porte, un controller USB 3.1 Gen2 con supporto per otto porte da 10 Gbps e un controller USB 2.0 con supporto per quattro porte.<\/p>\n

Tuttavia, \u00e8 importante notare che la capacit\u00e0 operativa di molte periferiche ad alta velocit\u00e0 nei sistemi basati su X570 sar\u00e0 limitata dalla larghezza di banda del bus che collega il processore al chipset.
