Attualmente, il negozio online di Chrome offre circa 180.000 estensioni. Alcune delle estensioni disponibili raccolgono dati degli utenti senza le necessarie autorizzazioni. Questo cambier\u00e0 presto, poich\u00e9 Google sta iniziando a introdurre nuove politiche sulla privacy per le estensioni di Chrome. \u00c8 stato annunciato che le regole comunicate dall'azienda entreranno in vigore quest'autunno. Se un'estensione non soddisfer\u00e0 i nuovi requisiti sulla privacy, sar\u00e0 rimossa dal negozio online di Chrome.  <\/p>\n

Nel comunicato di Google si sottolinea la necessit\u00e0 di rispettare i requisiti secondo cui le estensioni devono richiedere accesso solo ai dati necessari per il loro funzionamento. Se per il corretto funzionamento di un'estensione \u00e8 possibile utilizzare pi\u00f9 di un'autorizzazione, gli sviluppatori devono scegliere quella che richiede accesso al minor volume di informazioni. Con l'entrata in vigore delle nuove regole, questa condizione diventer\u00e0 obbligatoria per tutti le estensioni del Chrome Web Store.<\/p>\n

Un altro cambiamento riguarder\u00e0 i requisiti per la gestione delle informazioni personali. Gli sviluppatori di software che elaborano messaggi degli utenti e contenuti forniti saranno obbligati a pubblicare una politica sulla privacy separata, in cui viene descritto come vengono elaborati e archiviati i dati.<\/p>\n

L'azienda \u00e8 convinta che le estensioni debbano rimanere trasparenti riguardo a come elaborano i dati degli utenti. Ci si aspetta che ulteriori dettagli sui nuovi requisiti di privacy vengano pubblicati in seguito.  <\/p>\n
