Dopo oltre quattro anni dalla creazione della precedente e significativa versione \u00e8 disponibile<\/a><\/noindex> rilascio del modulo JPype 0.7<\/a><\/noindex>, che consente l'accesso completo delle applicazioni Python alle librerie di classi in Java. Con JPype, \u00e8 possibile utilizzare librerie specifiche per Java da Python, creando applicazioni ibride che combinano codice Java e Python. A differenza di Jython, l'integrazione con Java non si ottiene creando una versione di Python per la JVM, ma attraverso l'interazione a livello delle due macchine virtuali, utilizzando la memoria condivisa.
