Presentato<\/a><\/noindex> progetto Waypipe<\/a><\/noindex>, nell'ambito del quale si sviluppa<\/a><\/noindex> \u00e8 un proxy per il protocollo Wayland che consente di eseguire applicazioni su un altro host. Waypipe facilita la trasmissione a un altro host tramite un singolo socket di rete per messaggi Wayland e modifiche serializzate nei buffer di memoria condivisa e DMABUF.<\/p>\n

Le prestazioni di Waypipe sono considerate adeguate per l'esecuzione remota in una rete locale di terminali e applicazioni statiche, come Kwrite e LibreOffice. Per i programmi che lavorano intensivamente con la grafica, come i giochi per computer, Waypipe \u00e8 attualmente poco utilizzabile a causa del calo del FPS di due volte e oltre, a causa dei ritardi causati dall'invio dei dati del contenuto dell'intero schermo attraverso la rete. Per superare questo problema, \u00e8 prevista un'opzione per codificare il flusso sotto forma di video.
\nh264, ma attualmente \u00e8 applicabile solo a layout lineari DMABUF (XRGB8888). Per la compressione del flusso possono essere utilizzati anche ZStd o LZ4.<\/p>\n
