Progetto Glaber<\/a><\/noindex> sviluppa un fork del sistema di monitoraggio Zabbix, focalizzato sull'aumento dell'efficienza, delle prestazioni e della scalabilit\u00e0, e adatto alla creazione di configurazioni resistenti ai guasti, eseguite dinamicamente su pi\u00f9 server. Inizialmente, il progetto si \u00e8 sviluppato<\/a><\/noindex> come un insieme di patch per migliorare le prestazioni di Zabbix, ma ad aprile sono iniziati i lavori per creare un fork autonomo. Il codice del progetto distribuito<\/a><\/noindex> \u00e8 sotto licenza GPLv2.<\/p>\n

Con carichi elevati, gli utenti di Zabbix si trovano di fronte all'assenza di clustering nella versione gratuita e a problemi relativi alla necessit\u00e0 di memorizzare enormi volumi di dati nei database. I database relazionali supportati in Zabbix, come PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle e SQLite, non sono ben adattati per memorizzare le tendenze nella storia \u2014 l'estrazione di un gran numero di metriche su sei mesi sar\u00e0 gi\u00e0 'pesante', e sar\u00e0 necessario ottimizzare i database e le query, costruire cluster di server di database, ecc.<\/p>\n
