Per utilizzare DXVK  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/doitsujin\/dxvk\/wiki\/Driver-support\">\u00e8 necessario<\/a><\/noindex> avere driver compatibili con <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=48227\">API Vulkan<\/a><\/noindex>, come ad esempio<br \/>\nAMD RADV 18.3, NVIDIA 415.22, Intel ANV 19.0 e <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=47816\">AMDVLK<\/a><\/noindex>. <\/p>\n<p>DXVK pu\u00f2 essere utilizzato per eseguire applicazioni 3D e giochi su Linux tramite Wine, fungendo da alternativa ad alte prestazioni all'implementazione di Direct3D 11 integrata in Wine, che funziona sopra OpenGL. N <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/wine_gaming\/comments\/9cvfux\/benchmark_wow_bfa_winedxvk_vs_windows_10\/\">alcuni giochi<\/a><\/noindex> le prestazioni della combinazione Wine+DXVK <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/doitsujin\/dxvk\/issues\/67\">si distingue<\/a><\/noindex> partono da un 10-20% in meno rispetto all'esecuzione in Windows, mentre l'implementazione di Direct3D 11 basata su OpenGL mostra una riduzione delle prestazioni pi\u00f9 significativa. <\/p>\n<p>Miglioramenti aggiunti:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata implementata un'ottimizzazione utilizzando l'istruzione \u00abdiscard\u00bb negli shader, basata sull'estensione Vulkan VK_EXT_shader_demote_to_helper_invocation, capace di migliorare le prestazioni in alcuni giochi. Per utilizzare l'ottimizzazione \u00e8 necessario aggiornare il componente winevulkan e i driver (Intel a Mesa 19.2-git e NVIDIA al driver proprietario 418.52.14-beta; i driver AMD attualmente non supportano l'estensione VK_EXT_shader_demote_to_helper_invocation);\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata garantita l'elaborazione asincrona dell'output del risultato di rendering sullo schermo (fase <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/vulkan-tutorial.com\/Drawing_a_triangle\/Drawing\/Rendering_and_presentation\">presentation<\/a><\/noindex>). Per ridurre i ritardi nel thread principale di rendering, l'elaborazione dell'output ora viene eseguita nel thread di invio comandi (command submission thread). Il guadagno in termini di prestazioni dall'elaborazione asincrona \u00e8 particolarmente evidente durante l'output con un'alta frequenza di fotogrammi e durante l'elaborazione delle comandi ad alto carico. Tra i giochi in cui si osserva un aumento delle prestazioni c'\u00e8 Quake Champions quando viene eseguito su sistemi con GPU AMD;\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c8 stata introdotta la possibilit\u00e0 di caricamento iniziale delle risorse utilizzando motori di copia (copy engine) forniti da dispositivi con supporto Vulkan (attualmente supportati solo dai driver AMDVLK e NVIDIA).
