Nel 1983, con l'introduzione del TCP\/IP, veniva utilizzato un indirizzamento a 32 bit. A quel tempo <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.igalia.com\/dpino\/2017\/05\/25\/ipv4-exhaustion\/\">sembrava<\/a><\/noindex>, che 4,3 miliardi di indirizzi per 4,5 miliardi di persone fossero pi\u00f9 che sufficienti. Ma gli sviluppatori non consideravano che la popolazione del pianeta sarebbe aumentata quasi del doppio e che Internet avrebbe avuto una diffusione di massa.<\/p>\n<p>Negli anni '80, molte organizzazioni ricevevano pi\u00f9 indirizzi di quanto realmente necessario. Diverse aziende utilizzano ancora indirizzi pubblici per server che operano esclusivamente in reti locali. L'avanzata della tecnologia mobile, dell'Internet delle cose e della virtualizzazione ha aggravato la situazione. I calcoli errati sul numero di host nella rete globale e la distribuzione inefficace degli indirizzi sono stati la causa della scarsit\u00e0 di IPv4.<\/p>\n<h2>Come si esaurivano gli indirizzi<\/h2>\n<p>\nAll'inizio degli anni 2000, il direttore di APNIC, Paul Wilson, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/news\/exec-no-shortage-of-net-addresses\/\">dichiarato<\/a><\/noindex>, prevedendo che gli indirizzi IPv4 sarebbero esauriti entro dieci anni. In generale, la sua previsione si \u00e8 rivelata piuttosto accurata.<\/p>\n<p><b>2011:<\/b> Come previsto da Wilson, all'ente di registrazione internet APNIC (responsabile per la regione Asia-Pacifico) \u00e8 rimasto l'ultimo <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/ru.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/\u0411\u0435\u0441\u043a\u043b\u0430\u0441\u0441\u043e\u0432\u0430\u044f_\u0430\u0434\u0440\u0435\u0441\u0430\u0446\u0438\u044f\">blocco \/8.<\/a><\/noindex>L'organizzazione ha introdotto una nuova regola: un blocco di 1024 indirizzi per \"ogni mano\". Gli analisti affermano che senza questa restrizione il blocco \/8 sarebbe esaurito in un mese. Ora APNIC ha a disposizione solo un numero limitato di indirizzi.<\/p>\n<p><b>2012:<\/b> L'esaurimento del pool \u00e8 stato annunciato dall'ente di registrazione internet europeo RIPE. Ha iniziato a distribuire l'ultimo blocco \/8. L'organizzazione ha seguito l'esempio di APNIC e ha introdotto severe restrizioni sulla distribuzione degli IPv4. Nel 2015, RIPE aveva solo 16 milioni di indirizzi liberi. Pi\u00f9 o meno nello stesso periodo i rappresentanti di ARIN <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.arin.net\/vault\/announcements\/2013\/20130801.html\">hanno annunciato<\/a><\/noindex>, hanno comunicato che erano rimasti solo due blocchi \/8.<\/p>\n<p><b>Anno 2015:<\/b> ARIN <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theregister.co.uk\/2015\/09\/24\/arin_ipv4_interview_ipv6\/\">ha iniziato<\/a><\/noindex> \u00e8 stato il primo registrar a esaurire completamente il proprio pool di indirizzi IPv4 disponibili. Tutte le aziende di questa regione sono in attesa che qualcuno liberasse degli IP inutilizzati.<\/p>\n<p><b>Anno 2017:<\/b> La sospensione della distribuzione degli indirizzi\u00a0<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.potaroo.net\/ispcol\/2015-08\/last8.html\">hanno annunciato<\/a><\/noindex>\u00a0presso il registrar LACNIC, responsabile per i paesi dell'America Latina. Ora <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lacnic.net\/web\/lacnic\/agotamiento-ipv4\">possono acquistare<\/a><\/noindex> un blocco solo quelle aziende che non li hanno mai ricevuti prima. Anche AFRINIC \u2014 responsabile per la regione africana \u2014 ha introdotto restrizioni sulla distribuzione degli indirizzi. L'assegnazione viene rigorosamente valutata e il numero massimo in un'unica mano \u00e8 limitato.<\/p>\n<p><b>Anno 2019:<\/b> Oggi tutti i registrars hanno un numero relativamente ridotto di indirizzi rimasti. I pool sono mantenuti in vita grazie al fatto che gli indirizzi non utilizzati vengono periodicamente restituiti in circolazione. Ad esempio, al MIT <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.techspot.com\/news\/69055-mit-unload-8-million-ipv4-addresses-fund-ipv6.html\">hanno scoperto<\/a><\/noindex> 14 milioni di indirizzi IP. Oltre della met\u00e0 sono stati rivenduti a aziende in difficolt\u00e0.<\/p>\n<h2>Cosa succede dopo<\/h2>\n<p>\nC'\u00e8 chi sostiene che gli indirizzi IPv4 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/ipv4.potaroo.net\/\">saranno esauriti<\/a><\/noindex> entro febbraio 2020. Dopo di che, i provider internet, i produttori di apparecchiature di rete e altre aziende <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/arstechnica.com\/tech-policy\/2011\/04\/no-more-addresses-asia-pacific-region-ipv4-well-runs-dry\/\">dovranno decidere<\/a><\/noindex> se migrare a IPv6 o continuare con <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.vasexperts.ru\/?p=120\">le soluzioni NAT.<\/a><\/noindex>.<\/p>\n<p>La Traduzione degli indirizzi di rete (NAT) consente di convertire pi\u00f9 indirizzi locali in uno esterno. Il numero massimo di porte \u00e8 di 65.000. Queste permettono una gestione centralizzata degli indirizzi locali ed esterni degli utenti, limitando il numero di porte TCP e UDP disponibili per i clienti. In questo modo, le porte vengono distribuite tra gli utenti in modo pi\u00f9 efficiente e offre anche protezione contro gli attacchi DDoS.<\/p>\n<p>Tra i difetti del NAT si possono evidenziare potenziali problemi con i firewall. Tutte le sessioni utente escono in rete con un unico indirizzo pubblico. Ci\u00f2 significa che solo un cliente alla volta pu\u00f2 accedere ai siti che offrono servizi tramite IP. Inoltre, il servizio potrebbe interpretare ci\u00f2 come un attacco DoS e chiudere l'accesso a tutti i clienti.<\/p>\n<p>L'alternativa al NAT \u00e8 la transizione a IPv6. Ci sono abbastanza indirizzi per un lungo periodo, e presenta anche una serie di vantaggi. Ad esempio, il componente integrato IPSec, che cripta pacchetti di dati singoli.<\/p>\n<p>Attualmente, IPv6\u00a0<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/w3techs.com\/technologies\/details\/ce-ipv6\/all\/all\">viene utilizzato<\/a><\/noindex>\u00a0rappresenta solo il 14,3% dei siti web in tutto il mondo.
