Azienda Cisco ha presentato<\/a><\/noindex> versione correttiva del pacchetto antivirus gratuito ClamAV 0.101.3, in cui \u00e8 stata risolta una vulnerabilit\u00e0 che consente di avviare un attacco di negazione del servizio tramite l'invio di un archivio zip appositamente formattato come allegato. <\/p>\n

Problema<\/a><\/noindex> \u00e8 una variante bomba zip «non ricorsiva»<\/a><\/noindex>, il cui estrazione richiede un tempo e risorse considerevoli. Il metodo consiste nel posizionare nell'archivio dati che permettono di ottenere una compressione massima per il formato zip — circa 28 milioni di volte. Ad esempio, un file zip di 10 MB appositamente preparato porter\u00e0 all'estrazione di circa 281 TB di dati, mentre 46 MB — 4.5 PB. <\/p>\n

Inoltre, nella nuova release \u00e8 stata aggiornata la libreria incorporata libmspack, in cui sono state risolte<\/a><\/noindex> un overflow del buffer (CVE-2019-1010305<\/a><\/noindex>), che porta a una perdita di dati durante l'apertura di un file chm appositamente formattato.<\/p>\n

Nel frattempo, \u00e8 stata rilasciata la beta della nuova versione di ClamAV 0.102, in cui la funzionalit\u00e0 di scansione on-access dei file aperti \u00e8 stata trasferita da clamd a un processo separato chiamato clamonacc, implementato analogamente a clamdscan e clamav-milter. Questa modifica ha reso possibile far funzionare clamd con un utente normale senza la necessit\u00e0 di privilegi di root.
\nLa nuova versione include anche il supporto per gli archivi egg (ESTsoft) e ha subito una significativa revisione del programma freshclam, che ora supporta HTTPS e pu\u00f2 operare con mirror che gestiscono richieste su porte di rete diverse dalla 80. <\/p>\n
